For thoses who want to keep reading i'll write about my work so far at APL. For those who don't know right now i'm studying meteorites in the upper atmosphere (~95km) and my supervisor wanted me to make a comparison with other data from my professor at school. Well b4 i wanted to do that i asked him to tell me exactly how the Radar works. After I found out how they retrieve and compute the meteorites velocities, i was very disappointed and now i'm going through their code and fixing how they are computing these velocity winds. Before i did this i was looking at high velocity winds and now after fixing their code, these winds disappear, which is good and bad. Bad b/c now i don't have any reason to compare high velocity data, and good since their program is almost fixed.

ReplyDeleteIf you read my note you will see that I leave Friday and will not be returning to the house until after you do! Mell is also going to be gone during the month of August. I'll be out of contact until the 1st of August or so, thank you ARMY!, but if you have any problems or questions call Chris or Mell! Hope your back feels better!
McBeth! Your job sounds really intense...saving meteorite velocities one line of code at a time, haha. I'm jealous. Keep up the good work! :)
