About Time.

sooo after I gave you all a hard time about not posting I figured I should finally write something :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I am so far; babysitting two 13 year olds... which is more like driving them around and making sure they don't burn the house down or anything. haha
It makes finding time to train pretty easy, the only hard part is the heat... lately it has been in the high 90's and humid which I know for all your southern people is normal but for here it is CRAZY. Boston hit 102 the other day which is a record in like 30 something years.

Anyways, my mom is really into crew now, she has her own rowing skull and takes classes/lessons and she races. She convinced me to do a beginners thing and I love it! It is actually a great leg workout so I have been getting up every tues/thurs at 4:45 to row from 5:30-7:30. Next week I am starting the competitive rowing team (just kinda a club team) but I like it. With the heat I have been doing a lot of pool workouts since I can do those from home.
Running has been going well, as in injury free! Henry was here for 4 weeks (he originally only planned on staying one haha) and he got me out pretty much every day even if he didn't run he convinced me to, which is what I need. I have done a lot of 5k's and I use them as tempo workouts. My dad got me a GPS/heart rate monitor watch from Garmin... it sounds like it would be useless but it actually motivates me to get out and do something every day even if I just bike. It tracks EvERY detail online and I can send all my progress to the coaches (if I want to! lol) so when I see online that there is a blank spot during a week I get angry, so it motivates me to keep all my days filled!

My training is already way ahead of the end of last summer with 5ish more weeks to go. I turn 21 saturday but don't have any plans considering I have zero intention of even trying alcohol. I am actually staying injury free, quite the miracle, but my health hasn't agreed 100% yet. Working on that.

Beth came to visit a few weeks ago because she had a race in Boston. She is going to be around this weekend and both Hopfe and Evans are in MA for a while about an hour away from me. I talked to Evans to try planning a date for the four of us to run or even just hang out for a few hours, but who knows!

I am already excited for camp! It seems weird that we are only gaining Ellie and technically Julie (not saying Ellie and Julie aren't enough!), but hoping that means we will have a very experienced and close team. I hung out with Ellie when she was in town and you were all at a meet and she will fit in AMAZINGLY.

I miss you all a lot, especially having you to run with. Henry was a great running partner because he would just talk to keep me occupied but he usually did his own thing. A few old teammates from high school and I have run a few times but still not the same.

I love hearing about all your internships! I hope next summer I will be an American and get a fun job like you ladies. haha
