or was that the Pimp list ;) teehee
not a big deal, just a bit of a pull or a hyperextension of the hip flexor area. all the same i'm playing it safe and not running for a few days to a week. foward, that is. backwards is just dandy! lol. It took like 15 minutes to go a mile, but at least it's cardio! and it's not the pool!
Dammit though, I'm determined to make it through 1 pre-season without being injured! lol.
oh, Matt Conyers is going to be our trainer again :) yay. i do like matt. he's a good guy. shy, but once you get to know him, he opens up. plus we have twin trucks. hahah sorta. maybe more like distant cousins, twice removed or something. okay, they're not even close. but he does drive a pickup!

you're really running backwards?
ReplyDeletekudos to you haha
yup. though you probably underestimate how much i hate the pool hah.
ReplyDeleteactually, i ran backwards for quite a while and it wasn't so bad. decent workout.. can't complain. used some muscles that needed strengthening anyways... this whole hip thing could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
i actually did a cardio workout for a whole hour that didn't involve running, so I wont' lose much fitness either.
Train under hopfe long enough and you'll find out this doens't seem abnormal at all.
we do a lot of really strange alternative type workouts because we're so fragile. haha
thank god. my old coaches didn't really listen to athletes who were actually fragile and just assumed everyone was faking like the kids who do track just to talk to their friends and skip loops
ReplyDeleteYeah, don't worry, the Coaches are good about taking care of injury prone people, lol.
